Privacy, plainly stated.

This website is operated by Alexishq — an independent design and engineering practice working in India. For any question about your data, write to hello@alexishq.in. You will reach the operator directly; there is no team behind this address.

The only place this website collects information from you is the contact form. When you submit it, the following is recorded:

• Your name — exactly as you type it.
• Your email address — used only to reply to you.
• The project type you select, and the message you write.
• A timestamp and the source page, so enquiries can be ordered and attributed correctly.

No other data is collected. The website does not use cookies, does not set tracking pixels, and does not employ fingerprinting techniques. There is no analytics software running on this site. The form contains a honeypot field that is invisible to people and present only for automated spam scripts; if that field is filled in, the submission is discarded without being read.

Your enquiry is used exclusively to respond to your enquiry. Specifically: to read what you wrote, to reply to it by email, and — if we go on to work together — to keep a record of the project brief. Submissions are never used to build a marketing list, never sold, never shared with third parties for advertising, and never used to train any machine learning model. The data is not used for any purpose other than direct communication with you.

Submissions are stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure and are additionally forwarded to an email delivery service so they arrive in the operator's inbox. Data is retained for a maximum of 12 months for non-project enquiries, and for the duration of any active engagement plus the statutory retention period for project-related correspondence.

All data is stored in data centers located within the European Union or under equivalent data protection standards. No data is transferred to countries without adequate data protection laws.

This website sets no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no social widgets. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing that would require your consent.

Aggregate, privacy-preserving analytics are collected through the hosting provider: page URL, referrer, country at the level of a country, device class, and a timestamp. Your IP address is truncated before storage and is not used to identify you. Analytics exist only to answer questions like “did anyone read the essay about shaders”, and cannot be used to follow you anywhere else.

A single session-storage key is written after the introductory animation has played once, so you are not shown it again in the same tab. It contains no personal information and is deleted when you close the tab.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right under the GDPR to access, correct, export, restrict or erase the personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these, email hello@alexishq.in from the address you used. I will confirm what is held and act within 30 days, at no cost. You do not need to explain why.

Project pages embed links and, in places, media served from external CDNs. When your browser loads those assets, the provider serving them can see your IP address and the fact that you loaded a file from this site. That exchange happens between your browser and their servers; I have no access to it and no control over their retention. If you would prefer to avoid it entirely, a content-blocking extension will prevent those requests.

All traffic to this site is served over TLS. Form submissions are validated server-side before storage, and the database is not publicly reachable. No system is perfectly secure, and I make no claim that this one is — only that it is a small, well-understood surface with nothing on it that should not be there.

This notice is reviewed when the site changes in a way that affects your data, and the revision date at the top is updated whenever that happens. Material changes are noted on the home page for 30 days. Questions go to hello@alexishq.in.
